Latest News 2017/2018:
Demand for RDSM Consulting support remains strong with a heavy work program scheduled throughout the coming financial year. David Swete Kelly is working solidly on the following programs:
1. Evaluation of the New Zealand Aid Program in Timor-Leste: New Zealand's Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade (MFAT) is conducting a strategic evaluation of many of its programs - both in the Pacific and globally. The Australian office of Adam Smith International has been contracted by MFAT to deliver the Timor-Leste Country Program Evaluation. David was selected to lead the team undertaking this evaluation. The draft report will be delivered in early September, and will be followed by further consultations in Dili and Wellington later in 2017.
2. Market Development Facility: David started supporting Australia's Market Development Facility in 2012 as one of the two inaugural members of its Independent Advisory Group. MDF now operates in five countries (Pakistan, Sri Lanka, PNG, Timor-Leste and Fiji) and has just entered a new 5+5 year phase.
3. Agriculture and Rural Development support to Afghanistan and Pakistan: David is engaged by Australia's Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) to support its economic growth agenda in both Afghanistan and Pakistan. David travels regularly to both countries to provide design, review and planning support.
4. To'os Ba Moris Di'ak (TOMAK): David continues his support for Australia's TOMAK program in Timor-Leste as the coordinator of the program's Monitoring and Review Group (MRG). TOMAK helps subsistence farming families beneficially engage with the new and emerging agricultural market opportunities in this new nation.
